EDiSU Student Residences

Every year EDiSU (Ente per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario) offers a fixed number of rooms (single and twin) to Erasmus and Exchange Students in 8 of its 11 Student Residences “Colleges” in Pavia plus some rooms at Collegio Quartier Novo in Cremona.
Some of them have a canteen, some other offer cooking facilities.
Each Student Residence has its own internal regulation and upon arrival students will be asked to read and accept them.

Meanwhile find below the general rules

GENERAL RULES CONCERNING THE PAYMENT

DEPOSIT: 1 month's rent to be paid before arrival by bank transfer in order to reserve the room
FIRST INSTALMENT: upon arrival immediate payment of 2 FULL months’ rent
RENT: payment must be made within the first 5 days of every month

For periods of stay inferior to 1 full month here follow the conditions (will be calculated at the end of the stay):

For a period of stay inferior to 14 days, students will have to pay for the exact number of days (price calculated by the Accounting Department of each single college)
For a period of stay superior to 15 days, students will have to pay for the full month
METHODS OF PAYMENT: payment has to be made by credit card or bank transfer - cash no accepted - you will get more information by the bursar upon arrival

REFUND OF THE DEPOSIT

The deposit paid before arrival will be returned at the end of the stay by bank transfer, after the student’s departure, after the room has been checked and if no damage is found, otherwise the bursar of the College may decide not to refund it.

If a student leaves his/her room earlier than the period selected in the accommodation form, he/she will not be refund. In fact, the student will have to pay the rent for the whole selected period; late arrivals and early departures will not produce any reduction of rent.

GENERAL INFORMATION

ROOMS WILL BE AVAILLABLE FROM THE 14/9/23 (1^st SESSION)

Students leaving at the end of the 1^st semester must leave their accommodaiton by 15/2/2024
Students arriving for the 2° semester will have the room available form 19/2/2024 till 25/7/2024

In Collegio del Maino, Collegio Volta, Collegio Griziotti, Collegio Golgi each room has a small ensuite bathroom.
In Collegio Cardano and Collegio Fraccaro there is one bathroom every two bedrooms.
In Collegio Valla and Collegio Castiglioni there is one big common bathroom per floor (with showers).
Bed sheets, pillows and blankets are provided by the Collegio.
Bed linen is washed by the Collegio.
The Collegio does not provide laundry service for the students’ clothing.
Guests are not allowed to stay for the night.

CHECK-IN TIME

Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30-17:00; on Friday 8:30-12:30
Arrivals are not allowed during the weekend
On Saturday and Sunday the administrative offices are close and it is not possible to make the check-in

Students are kingly recommended to consider the above information before booking their flights (outside these times they will have to book a room in a hotel by themselves)
Student Residences are close during the Christmas and Easter breaks. If students intend to stay in Pavia during these festivity periods, they will have to discuss this matter directly with the bursar of each College once in Pavia.

CANTEEN CARD

Each meal costs up to € 6,50.
Upon arrival you will get informaton directly by the bursar of each college.

Here below all the prices for the Academic Year 2023-2024 (the rent can be changed during the accademic year due to any increase in costs).

Location: in the north area of the city – 15 minutes to the main university site by bus and 30 minutes by bus to the scientific faculties – bus stop just opposite the entrance of the student residence.
