Change of dates

If Centro Assistenza Studenti reserves a room according to the dates that the student selected in the application form, the student will have to pay the rent for the whole selected period. Late arrivals or early departures will not produce a reduction of the rent.

A) PRIVATE FLATS

Prior to Arrival

In order to reserve a room in a private flat, every student must pay by bank transfer before arrival Euro 300 to the landlord. The room cannot be considered reserved if the bank transfer is not accomplished. The Euro 300 will become part of the deposit if the student confirms the room after arrival.

After Arrival

Deposit: On arrival students will be asked to pay three months rent as a deposit for their accommodation. First instalment on arrival.

The deposit will be returned before departure (after the accommodation has been checked and if no damage is found).

According to the different owners, students will be asked to pay the rent each month, every two or three months. Payments have to be made cash or by bank transfer subject to agreement with the landlord. The rent has to be paid directly to the landlords who will give the students the relative payment receipt. The payment receipt can be given also by Centro Assistenza Studenti.

If a student arrives any day within the first half of the month, he/she will have to pay the rent for the whole month. If a student arrives any day in the second half of the month, he/she will have to pay the rent for half the month. Rent must be paid on the 1st working day of every month. For each day that payment is delayed, a penalty of € 4 will be incurred. The flat owners will keep Euro 50 from the deposit of every student at the end of the stay to clean the flat after their departure.

Students accommodated in flats should not arrive on the weekend. They should arrive during our office working hours: Monday to Friday 9.30-18.00. Outside these hours we will not be able to meet them and take them to the flat. They will have to spend the night in a hotel and come to our office the following day.

REFUSAL OF ACCOMODATION

If students refuse the accommodation within the first 24 hours of their allocation in the flat, they will be returned Euro 250 of the deposit (50 Euro are kept for the first day and the flat cleaning). If students refuse the accomodation anytime after the first 24 hours of their allocation in the flat, they will not be returned their deposit. The landlord will keep the whole deposit.

B) UNIVERSITY STUDENT RESIDENCES

Prior to Arrival

Deposit: On arrival students will be asked to pay 1 month rent. The rent must be paid every month. On arrival day the first two months will have to be paid.

Students accommodated in Collegi and Residenze should not arrive earlier than the date they selected in the accommodation form. If they arrive in Pavia earlier, they will have to stay in a Hotel.

After the Arrival
