ARRIVAL DATES
When students complete the application form to enrol with the University of Pavia, they will be given a chance to select the period they intend to stay in Pavia. Centro Assistenza Studenti strongly recommends checking with Erasmus co-ordinators which period is more advisable to select, considering that the calendar of each faculty is different. Centro Assistenza Studenti will provide accommodation for the periods selected in the application form. If a student arrives earlier than the date selected in the application form, accommodation cannot be guaranteed for those days; if a student leaves his/her accommodation before the date selected in the application form, he/she will still have to pay the rent for the whole period.
1 SEMESTER OR ENTIRE YEAR:
The deadline for students to send the application form for students arriving on the 1st Semester is July 4th 2011.
The students who will receive accommodation for the Italian Course September 5th - 23rd 2011 should try to come to Pavia on Friday 2nd September 2011, as their accommodation would be available on the same day.
Students who are not attending the Italian Course should arrive on Friday 23rd September 2011.

The students leaving at the end of the first semester should leave the rooms free within February 15th 2011.
2 SEMESTER:
Students coming on the second semester have to fill in the accommodation form within December 5th and they will be informed about their accommodation by December 16th 2011 and they will have to send a written confirmation by December 30st 2011.
The students arriving on the second semester will have the accommodation guaranteed starting from February 20th 2012.
STUDENTS ACCOMMODATED IN FLATS SHOULD NOT ARRIVE ON THE WEEKEND. THEY SHOULD ARRIVE DURING OUR OFFICE HOURS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9.30-18.00. OUTSIDE THESE HOURS WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET THEM AND TAKE THEM TO THE FLAT. THEY WILL HAVE TO SPEND THE NIGHT IN A HOTEL AND COME TO OUR OFFICE THE FOLLOWING DAY.
STUDENTS ACCOMMODATED IN COLLEGI SHOULD NOT ARRIVE ON SUNDAY AND OUTSIDE THE COLLEGI OPENING HOURS (MONDAY TO SATURDAY 07.30-24.00). THEY SHOULD NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN THE DATE THEY SELECTED IN THE ACCOMMODATION FORM. IF THEY ARRIVE IN PAVIA EARLIER, THEY WILL HAVE TO STAY IN A HOTEL.
Students coming within the first half of the month will have to pay the rent for the whole month, students coming the second half of the month will have to pay only half the month's rent.
When students have organised their trip to Pavia, they should let Centro Assistenza Studenti know about their arrival date and time (they can send an e-mail with the details).
Students who are accommodated in collegi or student residences are asked to go directly to their collegio and collect the key of their room at the reception. Students can reach the collegi either by taxi, or by bus.
TRAVEL
Students who are accommodated in private flats will be welcomed by the staff of Centro Assistenza Studenti, either at the train/bus station in Pavia, or will be given instructions about a meeting point. The staff of Centro Assistenza Studenti will then take the students to their accommodation.
Students who land at Linate airport will find a bus connection that takes them directly to Pavia. The company that runs the service is called SGEA, and the bus stop is just outside the airport. Look at the website:
