ALLOCATION OF ROOMS
When Erasmus students apply for accommodation with Centro Assistenza Studenti, they will be given the chance to express their preference for a single/twin room in a collegio, or a single/twin room in a private flat.
It must be stressed that Centro Assistenza Studenti tries to meet the students' requests, but cannot guarantee to fulfil them all the time.
There are about 150/200 Erasmus students that every year apply for accommodation with the Centro. Most of the students require a single room, but unfortunately the majority of rooms available in collegi and private flats are twin bedrooms. Moreover the number of rooms available in collegi is limited: if a student prefers to stay in a collegio but all the rooms have already been taken, we can only propose a room in a private flat.
Also, students who stay for short periods are normally allocated in collegi; students who stay for long periods are accommodated in flats, normally prefer to rent to long-term tenants. All these elements must be taken into consideration and Centro Assistenza Studenti has to keep them in mind when allocating rooms to applicant students.
The deadline to apply for accommodation is July 4th 2011: no application sent after this date will be considered. Centro Assistenza Studenti strongly recommends sending the application as soon as possible, to have more chances of getting the preferred accommodation, and to make the process of finding /selecting/informing the student about his/her accommodation smoother for Centro.
Centro Assistenza Studenti will not find accommodation for students who are going to stay for short periods unless their home-University provides a substitution.
The deadline to extend the period of stay is November 18th 2011.
